Our Spectacular Market Day!!

SPLISH, SPLASH,SPLOSH ERRRR! Tanielu and I rushing to make the customers milk shakes, we had a very messy store because we had a funny little accident when we were making our milk shakes, the cup slipped out of my hand but it only spilt a quarter of what was inside. Our container was fill of money! and then our ice cream and milk was nearly finished oh ohh...... we were both shocked. Suddenly Tanielu's auntie brought some more Ingredients for us.

After all that Milk Shakes we were all exhausted from making around 70 cups of milk shakes we were a mess when we finished then we packed it all up and go to lunch, our results for how much money we made was over $200 WOW after that I said to myself "WHAT A DAY".

2010 Athletics Day.

With the sound of claps ringing in my ears Mr Burt repeating his words ''take your marks...... Get set....... Bang! The audience cheering,Go Takitimu!!!, Go Tainui!!!, Go Mataatua!!!, Go Te Arawa!!! With all of those voices cheering at once the competitors tried there hardest to finish in first second or third. The activities were 75 and 100m sprints, Shot Put, Discus, softball throw, Javelin.

Last week on Wednesday we had our Athletics Day, first we had discus first. When we had all of our turns I came out third my other two friends which were eki that came in second place and raven which came out in first place.

After all that power throws we had another throwing event named softball throw, the year six’s had to go first then it go’s year seven’s 11 year old’s after them its year seven’s 12 year old’s we go by, age group’s.
the year’s seven’s 11 year old top throwers were Feki, Raven and Junior.
The next event was shot put after all that hard throwing event’s we had Morning Tea.

Once we got to our class we started to talk about our personal highlight about our favourite event my favourite event was Discus, Discus was a fun event to particapate in, it was my first time making it over the line “YES” I screamed in my head.
But my friend raven he threw it close to the end of the senior playground AMAZING !!.

After all our activities we had our final event which was the sprint relay, first was the kids then second was the teachers and parents racers. The crowd was cheering with the strength of their voices screaming go Tainui go go go!
The funny part about the relay was Mrs George’s son when he was given the bat he started to scream all of sudden he tripped and landed on his face OUCH!!!

Once we finished our athletics day we were all exhausted then we had korero about using the crossing because some kid just crossed the road and got hit, finally we headed home.

Our new netbooks!

Yay! Our new Netbooks have finally arrived this the best day ever!. I love my new Netbook it is cool its even faster than my computer, this netbook and all of the other netbooks are the bomb,

and a huge thank you to Mrs Burt and Mr burt.

Jesse Martin

On the 8th of December 1998 a young teenager named Jesse Martin was going to circumnavigate the globe solo! He had planned this since he was 13, growing up in Australia.

He came from a familiy of one younger brother and a solo mum who sold the family house to pay for 'Lion Heart' his yacht. At the age of 18 exactly of 326 days he sailed solo around the world on October 31st 1999 leaving Melbourne sailing through the Alantic Ocean, through the Indian ocean the Southern Ocean, and back to Australia.

Jesse Martin was a brave teenager who showed great courage and followed his dream.
