On the 8th of December 1998 a young teenager named Jesse Martin was going to circumnavigate the globe solo! He had planned this since he was 13, growing up in Australia.He came from a familiy of one younger brother and a solo mum who sold the family house to pay for 'Lion Heart' his yacht. At the age of 18 exactly of 326 days he sailed solo around the world on October 31st 1999 leaving Melbourne sailing through the Alantic Ocean, through the Indian ocean the Southern Ocean, and back to Australia.
Jesse Martin was a brave teenager who showed great courage and followed his dream.
