Me Myself And I.............

Today I am going to tell you what I like to do what I enjoy and don't enjoy, First will be Food and Drink, second my hobbies, and last will be T.V and music. So I hope you really enjoy reading about this.

First of all Food and Drink,
The food that I love eating is butter chicken, , Coco Rice and Burger King.
But the food that I disagree eating/drinking is Sprouts, blackberry’s, peanuts and coffee.

Now for my Hobbies. I enjoy playing rugby league, rugby union, looking after my pet dog, playing on my computer and going to trainings everyday. Sometimes I even collect rugby league cards.
I have a bike but I don’t really ride on it.

And last of all T.V and Music. My favourite T.V programs are ‘Man vs Wild and Fear factor, I sometimes watch Disney channel and I always watch Sports Channel when there is a rugby league game on, but for the T.V program, that I think that hate is Adventure time, . For music or music groups it would be LMFAO and Mohombi. I don’t listen to old fashion music like my mum and dad.

Hope you enjoyed

Quick 10 Questions

“Weeeeeelcome everbody to our show, ‘ Quick 10 Questions’!” I shouted.

The crowds were cheering and clapping. I began to introduce my contestant, “Theodore
where are you from and what do you do for living?” I asked.

He replied, “I’m from America, I have been playing sports and now I am looking for a job.”

I asked him, “Shall we start?”

“Lets shall, lets shall”, Theodore answered.

“What is the capital city of France?” I requested.

“Paris!” Theodore shouted. “

Correct!” I replied . I moved onto the next question “What continent is France situated on?” Theodore stopped and thought for a moment then replied, “Europe.”

“Correct!” I replied once again. “Theodore, your third question is … What is a major celebration held in France?”

“Bastille Day?” answered Theodore quizzically.

“YESS my friend, next question, ‘Name two neighbouring countries for France?’ I questioned

“Belgium and Switzerland,” He Respond.

“That's the answer”, I quoted, “your fifth question is..... What is the French rugby team’s jersey colour when they play in their main playing stripe?”

He knew the answer straight away and replied “Blue and....Black” Theodore excitedly answered.

“that’s correct! your sixth question is.... what is a local delicacy in France?” I asked

“Escargot!” quickly shouted Theodore

“Woah that was a quick one..... anyways your next question, name a famous french person?” I asked

Theodore was stuck and was thinking hard, and finally he answered..... “Napoleon Bonaparte”.

“ Brilliant! seventh question. Who is the key player in the French rugby team?”

“Dimitri Yachvili,” Theodore humbly answered.

“Excellent. Question eight, In which year did the French Revolution year start?” I asked

“Ummmmm. Oh that’s right 1987?” Theodore answered.

“ Spectacular! So I questioned him again, “What attraction, landmark in Paris has been visited by the most (people)?”

“ The Eiffel Tower” Theodore positively answered

“Cooooorrrrreeeect! My friend, just one more question then you win. Your final question I paused for moment and asked “Has France ever won the Rugby World Cup?”

“NO!” replied Theodore.

“Is that your final answer?” I asked

‘’Yes it is‘’ said Theodore nervously.

‘’Guess your right cause you have just won,” I said excitedly.

Where In The World.....?

The Brumbies were given a number of names of rugby-playing nations of the world. These were some of the nations that are recognised by the world governing body of Rugby Union, the International Rugby Board (IRB), as member unions but did not qualify for RWC 2011. We divided them up amongst our team. I was given the nations listed below:
Hong Kong, Cayman Island and Chile. This is what I found -

1. Chile

2. The Continent for Chile is South America.

3. The Capital city for Chile is Santiago.

4. Estimated total population in early 2011: 17,000,000. Two thirds of the population is concentrated in the central zone.

5. The Sports Chile Plays

This is where hong Kong Is Located In.

3. The Capital City of Hong Kong is Victoria.

4. The population of Hong Kong is 7,122,508 (July 2011 est.)

5. Hong Kongs National sports.

1.Cayman

Where The Heck Is Onehunga?

Different Auckland town centres have adopted Rugby teams from countries that
qualified for the World Cup.
I found out information about :
The location in Auckland;
Something special about this place;
A 'potted' history of the place;
If it has it's own symbol of some sort.
(If we couldn't find a symbol we chose a picture that told more about the place).

Onehunga is in the south east of Auckland city. It is 8kms from the city centre.

Jellicoe Park, a short walk from the town centre, is a good place to start and a truly unique drawcard. There are museums, an historic home, swimming pools and wonderful gardens to enjoy. And then there's the beautiful Manakau Harbour to enjoy, right on Onehunga's doorstep.

From its earliest beginnings Onehunga, one of the oldest settlements in the region, has occupied a special place in Auckland's history.

KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Brumbies
There will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

I'm excited for the Rugby World Cup to see who my team, Samoa, is going to compete with.

If I was a wizard
I’d use a spell to get me FOOD.

If I was a wizard
I’d snap my fingers to become a cool DUDE.

If I was a wizard
I would use my wand to get all GOLD.

If I was a wizard
I would do a special spell to get rid of all the MOULD.

If I was a wizard
I’d help the police to find the most wanted CRIMINAL.

Inventors of the Inventions

Karl Benz first car he invented was very different from our cars now. His car had 2 wheels at the back,1 in the front, no roof, no hood, a handle instead of a steering wheel and a 2.5 horsepower engine.

But our cars now are Bigger,Better, Stronger, Faster. It now has a roof, a hood, engine’s with more horsepower, an real steering wheel and it has four wheels.

Looking back-Looking foward

LOOKING BACK IN THE PAST-

Last term was cool, the highlight was camp because we did heaps of extreme activities, the other thing I enjoyed was Tech@Tamaki. We were split into 5 groups, one group for each subject. The 5 subjects were Wood Tech, Graphics, Food Tech, Science and Electronics. Each term we switch subjects but stay with the same group. My subject last term was Electronics. We made a simple circuit that lit up an LED (light emitting diode).
We had the school picnic which was really good.
We also had a Rugby 7’s tournament in which the Pt England intermediate boys won the whole thing and two softball tournaments. We won the first tournament but lost the second.
LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FUTURE-
This term is going to be awesome. My new subject at Tech is Science it’s SOLID. Our topic this term is BIGGER, BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER. I am really looking forward to what’s going to happen this term.

In Praise Of Adverbs

Adverbs: Adverbs describe verbs and they tell us more about how the verb was performed (done). They also make your writing more interesting.
Adverbs often end with -ly. For example: happily, extremely, angrily.

Verbs: using verbs to name the action in this picture. For example: sprinting, running, chasing.

This American football player is Troy Polamalu. He is one of the best NFL players in Pittsburgh Steelers. He is running to get a touchdown for his team.
An example of a sentence, using an adverb, that describes his running in this picture might be:
"He is sprinting furiously down the side line, only 15 meters away from the touchdown line!” yelled the commentator.

Day1 For CAMP!

''Man! 1st day of Camp, This Camp is going to be SPECTACULAR'' saying it in my head this camp is called ''Camp Take Charge'' when everyone was in the hall in their camp groups , just listening to the teachers how we should take charge of ourselves and our stuff, and we are already gone straight to an activity amazingly really hard work.
First up Mr Barks and his activity we had to do 5 kinds of activities in his session, first was Blowout now this activity is when you have a tyre and a long wooden pole, we needed to get the tyre out of the wooden pole but you can't just take the pole out of the middle of the tyre, I had to put Tamati on shoulders so he chuck the tyre, but the time was to long then i had to put Kaiden on for the second time. Second game was Channel Run (which was a water game), Third, Mark It Up (another painful game for me ) it is someone gets a piece of tape and they put it as high as they can for the team Tamati had to go back my shoulders, Fourth refrigerator run and last of all Pass It Out.

Next Thing I enjoyed was the Delicious, Yummy Food especially Extremely great HANGI! we all were involved doing the hangi, it was like a restaurant Tamati and I with two other friends Samson and Kaiden we had to do 200 pieces of foil for all of the tin plates, in the tin plates were Pumpkins, Potatoes, Kumra, lettuce, chicken, pork and loin chops.
ESPECIALY IT WAS THE CAMP'S 21st BIRTHDAY.

My Holiday Highlight.

In the weekends we went to Wenderholm Beach, on the North Shore, by bus and by car for our church picnic. Not long after we arrived we began to play volleyball. POW! The ball spiked to the ground! “Woah, I can feel the vibration” I said.

On the other side of the space where our picnic was happening they were playing cricket.
YEAH! With the sound of my uncles voice cheering on for his team - WHACK! The tennis ball was connected with the cricket bat and the ball went flying into the sea. JINKES! That was a big hit man. “Hey bro, are you puffing already?” my brother yelled.

Next we played touch on the hard sand. While we were playing I noticed my sister, Lenna, was drawing her name in her own special style.

After we played our Activities my mum and I took off with a plastic bag to put our kina’s in, being followed by my cousin and her friend, they were way to hard to get out as if they are super glued onto, the solid rocks but worst of all they are spiky as a cactus, we needed a knife in one hand but the other bear handed.

After all that fun we started to pack all our stuff away and then got on the bus for our ride home. Once we got home I crashed out on the couch, snoring.

Another year of a spectaclar for Tech@Tamaki

Yesterday,we began to start a new session for Tech@Tamaki as we were
Marching down to tamaki the Year seven's are chatting about how it's going
to be for their, first time at Tamaki College but the Year eight's it's
their second time being there now, the only thing that has changed
is the new classes we are doing like Electronic and Science, but
the old classes were cooking 'Yummy',Wood Tech and Graphics.

At Tamaki the area of learning that I am doing this term is Electronic
I thought it was brilliant creating electrical objects like a torch
that you can attach to your hat so you can see in the dark, also a
fan hat.

I thought it was awesome, beginning a new session for Tech@Tamaki experiencing
new classes.
