In Praise Of Adverbs

Adverbs: Adverbs describe verbs and they tell us more about how the verb was performed (done). They also make your writing more interesting.
Adverbs often end with -ly. For example: happily, extremely, angrily.

Verbs: using verbs to name the action in this picture. For example: sprinting, running, chasing.

This American football player is Troy Polamalu. He is one of the best NFL players in Pittsburgh Steelers. He is running to get a touchdown for his team.
An example of a sentence, using an adverb, that describes his running in this picture might be:
"He is sprinting furiously down the side line, only 15 meters away from the touchdown line!” yelled the commentator.
